| We motored out of Key Biscayne past Stiltsville and then had a great sail up to Lake Worth inlet and Palm Beach. The inlet was pretty rolly with the surf and tide but we glided through and then turned south to anchor between Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. The high-end trophy homes were on the east and the port of Palm Beach with it's power plant provided the westerly view. Quite the contrast. We only stayed here a day and then left for Ft Myers. Our goal is to do 50 mile days up the coast. As we were off the inlet, this little finch came aboard and stayed for quite a while, searching for bugs all over the deck. He was quite fearless there 5 miles off shore. We thought he would stay for the voyage but he left after about an hour. Just after he left, we were inundated with bugs - he left too soon. Flies, No-See-Ums, Love Bugs, and God knows what all landed on the boat.
